Structure of Sperm


Sperm is a male reproductive cell. It can be divided into four main parts namely, head, neck, middle piece and tail. The head comprises of nucleus and acrosome. The neck region of a sperm contains the centrioles. The middle piece encloses the spirally arranged mitochondria and the tail is the axial filament that provides motility to the sperm.
