Fractions and Decimals

Overview:


A fraction represents the part of a whole. To convert a fraction to a decimal, we need to find a number which we can multiply with denominator of that fraction to make it 10, or 100, or 1000, or any 1 followed by 0s. Then multiply both the top and bottom values by that number.
