Combustion Reactions


A combustion reaction is a type of chemical reaction in which a combustible substance reacts with oxygen to produce energy, in the form of heat and light. The presence of oxygen as one of the reactants is vital for a reaction to be a combustion reaction. For example, when propane combines with oxygen, it produces heat and light.
