Blood Vessels


There are three major types of blood vessels: artery, vein and capillary. Arteries are the vessels that carry blood from the heart to various parts of the body. Veins are the vessels that return blood from body parts to the heart. Capillaries are the vessels that enable the actual exchange of water and chemicals between blood and tissue.
